The Office of Graduate Admissions recruits the student body for the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences and the graduate programs in the School of Engineering and coordinates application processing of applications for all graduate programs in the two schools. The department partners with graduate faculty and deans on the coordination of all aspects of student recruitment, communications and the management of more than 3,000 applications for 30 respective departments and programs.

Reporting to the Director of Graduate Admissions, the Graduate Admissions and Enrollment Coordinator will provide support in the everyday functioning of the office; this includes but is not limited to budget reconciliation, travel and event planning and logistics. This position will have responsibility for the smooth operations of day to day office processes as well as the administrative processes of getting decision letters out to applicants in a timely manner.

The Graduate Admissions and Enrollment Coordinator will, in conjunction with the Director and Assistant Director, develop a department calendar with pertinent dates and deadlines. This position will also play a key role in keeping all graduate departments (both in the School of Arts and Sciences and in the School of Engineering) updated on the admissions cycle by previewing upcoming events and deadlines.

This position will provide support to the Director in the development of presentations, event and travel planning, office management and correspondence.

Other duties as assigned by the Director or Dean.

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 3-5 years experience in an academic, nonprofit or industry setting.
  • Standard MS Office expertise (Word, Access, Powerpoint, Publisher and Excel) and CRM programs.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced degree.
  • 5-10 years experience in a university setting interacting with various constituencies.
  • Knowledge of the Slate, SIS, Apptricity and Peoplesoft.
