Admissions Counselor - Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine-18001300

This is a part time position anticipated to work 17.5 hours per week.

The Office of Admissions is responsible for marketing, recruitment, and admission for the DVM, MS, and PhD programs. The Office of Special Programs is responsible for all aspects of the career exploration program Adventures in Veterinary Medicine (AVM) Program as well as community outreach programs.

The admissions counselor works with the Admissions Office and the Office of Special Programs to recruit and enroll students in the DVM, MS, PhD degree programs as well as summer career exploration programs. S/he evaluates applications for admission, conducts group information and individual advising sessions for prospective students and represents the school at recruitment events. S/he assists in the development and implementation of summer career exploration programs. S/he also assists in related projects such as on campus events and social media strategy.


Basic Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree required. Valid US Driver’s License.

Preferred Qualifications:

Related experience as a student employee or professional in a secondary school or college/university preferred.

Special Work Schedule Requirements:

Position requires travel.
