Coordinator Projects

Job description


Coordinate and facilitate system-wide projects and activities in support of the assigned area. Apply project management principles and utilize project management tools to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Oversee the coordination and implementation of all aspects of ongoing projects and/or activities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Administer projects, including but not limited to the initiation, planning, execution, control, and monitoring;
  2. Provide overall supervision of projects and coordinate implementation;
  3. Communicate progress of and promote project activities to assigned area;
  4. Lead projects and direct all aspects of the projects to ensure goals are met;
  5. Review project proposals and/or plan to determine time frame, funding limitations and procedures for accomplishing project;
  6. Ensure projects adhere to their scope and HCC requirements;
  7. Establish and maintain effective organizational and administrative structure to administer projects at all levels;
  8. Schedule and organize system-wide meetings, trainings, seminars, summits and special events;
  9. Track project milestones, deliverables and budget;
  10. Establish work plan and staffing for each phase of project;
  11. Confer with project staff to outline work plan, assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority;
  12. Use project management tools to monitor department projects; and
  13. Keep track of project progress and provide management with periodic status reports.


To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential duties and responsibilities listed above. The qualifications listed below are representative of the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities required.


Bachelor's degree required.


Minimum three (3) years business or industry experience required.

  1. Strong commitment to fulfill the purpose, goals, and objectives of the project;
  2. Able to communicate effectively and supportively with team members and all levels of management;
  3. Good written and oral communication skills;
  4. Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills;
  5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite;
  6. Able to establish priorities, supervise or delegate appropriately, handle multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a high level of accuracy;
  7. Able to adapt to changing environment, priorities, and procedures; and
  8. Able to identify group and personal priorities and function with little supervision.
