The Department of Psychology, College of Arts & Sciences, has an open Communications Coordinator position. This position reports to Dr. Brian D. Doss as part of a five-year grant from the Administration for Children and Families providing web-based interventions for distressed, low-income couples. The Communications Coordinator’s primary responsibility is conducting an advertising campaign to encourage low-income couples to enroll in a study of web-based interventions designed to improve their romantic relationships. The advertising campaign will include online efforts (e.g., Google Adwords, Facebook) as well as partnering with in-person providers (e.g., Head Start, WIC) to serve as a referral source. The second primary responsibility will be maintaining and building online content – including the public website (www.OurRelationship.com) and online intervention content built in Adapt software.

The full-time position will begin approximately August 1st and will be based in the Psychology Department, on the Coral Gables campus of the University of Miami (http://www.psy.miami.edu/). A two-year commitment is required. Salary will be based on experience and health benefits will be provided.

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Computer Science, or a related field is required.
• Two year of work experience is required; experience obtained while working as a student or in a training environment will be considered.
• As services are provided to both English- and Spanish-speaking couples, fluency in both languages is required.
• Experience with JavaScript, CSS, JSON, and GitHub is desirable.
• Successful candidates will possess an ability to work independently and take initiative in developing and implementing new ideas.
