The SC Johnson College of Business at Cornell University invites applications for one full time tenure-track Assistant Professor position in our Marketing Area in Ithaca, with a start date of July 1, 2019. The intent is to place this hire in the Samuel Curtis Johnson Graduate School of Management. Applicants with a PhD (defended or ABD) in Quantitative Marketing or a related field (e.g., Economics, Statistics) will be considered. Responsibilities of the position include research in area(s) of expertise, teaching basic and advanced courses in management at the BS, MPS, MBA, EMBA and/or Ph.D. levels, supervision of doctoral candidates, and service to the Area, School and/or College. We will be interviewing candidates at the upcoming AMA Educators' Conference in San Francisco.

The Cornell SC Johnson College of Business (established on July 1, 2016) combines three Schools. The Samuel Curtis Johnson Graduate School of Management (Johnson), the Charles H. Dyson School of Applied Economics and Management (Dyson), and the School of Hotel Administration (Hotel School). The Marketing Area at Cornell consists of 11 faculty at Johnson and about 15 additional marketing faculty in the other two schools within the SC Johnson College of Business. Faculty members in the Marketing Area conduct research on diverse topics using a variety of research methods.

Note that applicants must have a Ph.D. in Quantitative Marketing or an appropriate field (e.g., Economics, Statistics), or be close to completion for consideration. While our preference is to consider graduating doctoral candidates, we will also consider applicants with experience. Significant prior research and teaching experience are welcome strengths.

This faculty position is based in Ithaca, NY, with potentially some teaching responsibilities at the new Cornell Tech or Weill Cornell Medical College campuses in New York City, or the Executive MBA campus in Palisades, NY.
