Advertised Job Summary: Duties include: (35%) Develop curriculum for, instruct (or supervise instruction of), and coordinate and assess results of student career readiness and employability certification program based on NACE core competencies. Coordinate with other campus offices (i.e., Leadership & Service Center, Student Success Center, etc.) to provide portions of program based on the expertise of those offices and enhancing University participation in development of credentialing opportunity. Integrate selected technology platforms into program delivery and tracking. In partnership with Assistant Director for Experiential Education, develop curriculum for, instruct (or supervise instruction of), and assess learning outcomes for UNIV201 courses. (15%) Develop curriculum for and instruct (or supervise instruction of) faculty/staff training programs related to career development and employability (e.g., Career Champion Program). Develop learning outcomes measures and assess results. (15%) Coordinate student referrals from academic advisors and others to Career Development Coaches through management of EAB Pathfinder. Create spreadsheet of referrals; coordinate student outreach efforts with Resource Room Coordinator; track and report on case management. Serve on EAB Pathfinder Implementation Council. (15%) Monitor career education materials for current and consistent messaging, to include tip sheets, presentations (including UNIV101, Orientation, and other presentation templates), website content, etc. (10%) Provide career coaching/counseling/advising for University of South Carolina alumni. (5%) Conduct benchmarking and best practices research on career education at peer and aspirant institutions. Conduct assessment of UofSC Career Center educational programming. Respond to requests for data and provide reporting output for the Annual Blueprint. (5%) Directly supervise Resource Room Coordinator (Administrative Assistant), and indirectly supervise five Office Assistants (student workers) in providing front desk services to Career Center visitors.
Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions): Masters degree in Student Services or related field and 1 year related experience, or bachelor's degree and 3 years related experience.
