The Exercise and Sports Injury Clinical Trainee works closely with study subjects and other research staff to perform a variety of clinical activities in the Exercise and Sports Injury lab with an emphasis on sport-related concussions. The incumbent assists with study organization, coordination, data collection, administration of clinical measures, document preparation, record keeping, and review of prospective research participants. The Trainee receives training on proper research protocol compliance and development, and works closely with the Principal Investigator and senior research staff to learn the full scope of clinical research duties.
A Bachelor's degree is required and Master's Degree is preferred. The ability to work independently and accurately with attention to details is essential. The incumbent must be CPR/AED certified and be a Board Certified Athletic Trainer. The incumbent must be able to maintain confidentiality and have excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. The ability to follow set laboratory policies and procedures, adhere to regulatory guidelines in daily work and demonstrate good judgement for data score is essential. Knowledge of medical terminology, clinical research, and the specific study subject matter is required.
