Job Description Summary

Provide administrative support in a variety of tasks assisting the Gainesville Education Center.

Job Description


  • Manage all walk-ins and incoming calls.
  • Possess strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Demonstrate ability to multi-task in a high-volume, fast-paced, team environment.
  • Coordinate administrative and office functions.
  • Retrieve and distribute office mail and deliveries.
  • Procure and maintain accurate inventory of office supplies.
  • Create and update room reservation calendar.
  • Participate in and contribute to the success of center-sponsored events.
  • Serve as primary VA Certifying official (VCO).
  • Utilize VA-ONCE to create and maintain accurate veteran information. Enter, amend and adjust certifications accordingly.
  • Communicate with and provide relevant information to Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment Counselor.
  • Demonstrate computer literacy, data entry proficiency and Microsoft Office experience.
  • Ability to adapt and learn new procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


  • Bachelor's degree or higher from a regionally accredited college or university
  • Any equivalent combination of education, experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities

  • Proficiency with computer information systems, specifically Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Candidate must demonstrate professionalism and a capacity to maintain confidentiality at all times
  • Knowledge of Datatel, preferred

  • Ability to prioritize workload to maximize efficiency and perform tasks in a fast-paced environment
