Posting Summary:
The University of Virginia Information Technology Services is looking for a JAMF engineer to help with Mac OS support. This is a two year term limited position located in Charlottesville VA.

Responsibilities include:
Implementation, administration and configuration of JAMF Enterprise environment
MAC deployment automation architecture, design/migration and troubleshooting
Lead the analysis of issues and development of technical solutions as it relates to the JAMF
Address security and usability concerns
Troubleshoot issues and outages
Package software titles for distribution to user computers
Develop scripts to automate configurations
Adhere to change management and project management processes
Support teammates, developing their technical skills
Help maintain MacOS/JAMF systems setup and configuration documentation
Malware and virus remediation on Mac

Required Skills / Experience:

Expert knowledge of recent releases of macOS, Yosemite, El Capitan, Sierra, High Sierra.
1-3 year's experience with Mac administration in an Active Directory environment
An in-depth understanding of the OS imaging process using JAMF
Expertise in JAMF administration, profile management, and configuration
Experience with the installation and administration of the JAMF Software Server.
Working knowledge of scripting languages to automate tasks (i.e. bash)
Experience in working with third-party engineering level support (Apple, JAMF)

Desired Skills / Experience:

JAMF certification
Apple Certified System Administrator (ACSA) a plus
Bachelor's Degree (preferably in Computer Science, Information Systems Management or Engineering)
Experience with formal change management, problem resolution procedure and back-up and recovery plans
Knowledge of Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) and Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) frameworks
Familiarity with integration of Apple devices (Mac laptop, desktop, iOS mobile devices)
Working knowledge of Windows 10 Imaging & Patch Management;
Knowledge of Group Policy
Proficiency with Windows 10, Microsoft Office 2016, O365, and Office for Mac
Understanding of Active Directory Group/Users/Computers
Understanding of infrastructure services: DNS, WINS, DHCP
