Spartan Vision Events Producer/Editor

Position Summary

In this position, you will:

  • Create and execute creative and compelling ideas and concepts for in-game presentation including LED boards
  • Shoot, edit and composite everything from video features, pump up videos, intro videos and highlights to headshots, animations and graphics
  • Collaborate with multiple internal partners such as marketing, sales, communications and event management
  • Continue to define the strategy and goals in order to achieve success in engaging fans and moving the Michigan State Athletics brand forward, by bringing energy to the creative process
  • Oversee live event production, including student and freelance staff
  • Support the Spartan Vision staff when needed
Unit Specific Education/Experience/Skills

Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing a four-year college degree program in Television Production or Telecommunications; three to five years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in studio and remote television production, editing and the use of related television equipment; experience in compositing and digital production; knowledge and experience in the field of live production equipment (eg. Switchers, replay machines, graphics, etc.); or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Desired Qualifications

• Experience editing and working with Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, etc.)

• Familiarity with Ross and Click Effects products

• In tune with current design trends and popular culture

• Prior work experience with either collegiate or professional teams

• Highly proficient with PC platform

• A bachelor’s degree and at least two years of relevant experience

• Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays (non-standard work schedule)

• Independent self-starter who strives to be the best and grow in all aspects of their job

• Able to stand for long periods of time, lift heavy equipment and materials weighing up to 40 lbs, and work in tight or confining spaces

• Excellent interpersonal communication skills with an ability to interact professionally with employees, students, student-athletes and fans

• Team-oriented individual with strong problem solving skills

Work Hours

Will include nights and weekends
