Nurse Clinician I
This position will provide direct nursing care to patients, perform examinations, assist providers with medical procedures. Daily job duties included, but are not limited to: interviewing patients and triage phone calls in order to determine and assess patient health care needs, develops a plan of care and refers as necessary; serving as an advocate and provides instruction and counseling to patients and their families; documenting nursing actions in the patient's electronic medical record; participating in interdisciplinary planning for meeting patient care and health service objectives; coordinating services for patients and families utilizing other health related agencies and resources; following up on the health care of patients; assisting with quality projects as necessary.Unit Specific Education/Experience/Skills
Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing a four year college degree program in Nursing; one to three years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in Nursing; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The position also requires possession of a current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Michigan.Desired Qualifications
Two years of responsible and expansive work experience as a Registered Nurse; one year of responsible and expansive work experience in the care of children in an outpatient setting and/or allergy and immunology and pulmonary specialty clinic.Work Hours
Works hours are typically 8 am- 5 pm, but can vary as necessary to accommodate clinic hours.Summary of Health Risks
