Research Assistant II
The successful candidate will become part of an exciting team of health care professionals and researchers who have come together to conduct implementation science research in Western Michigan. The research program entails close collaboration with primary care and healthcare system partners, and will involve inpatient, outpatient, and population health projects. The position entails assisting in the design and execution of health systems research projects. THIS POSITION IS LOCATED IN GRAND RAPIDS, MI.Unit Specific Education/Experience/Skills
Knowledge equivalent to a four-year college degree program in psychology, behavioral health, epidemiology, or other related areas with a key interest in multidisciplinary and community-engaged health systems research; three to five years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in overseeing research projects, performing advanced statistical analysis, and designing research experiments on healthcare processes and determinants of successful system implementation; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Desired Qualifications
Master's degree or equivalent training/background in one or more of the following areas: health systems research, epidemiology, statistics, clinical trials, community-based interventions, including stakeholder-engaged interventions targeting healthcare organizations; experience in process improvement in complex organizations, e.g. health care, translationary sciences, advanced statistical analysis and modeling of determinants of quality-of-care indicators; proven track record of successful project management; experience with applying for federal grants; strong oral and written communication skills; interests in interacting with large and varied stakeholder groups.

This is an off-dated position funded for three years from date of hire with possible extension contingent upon funding renewal.Summary of Health Risks
This position will support the implementation science research and will work with Mercy Health St. Mary's units and administrators.
1. Exposure to human blood, serum, tissue and other body fluids; and materials covered under Universal Precautions.
2. TB risk or work within 3 feet of human patients in a health care setting or have potential exposure to animals or to specimens with Mycobacterium.
