JOB SUMMARY:

This position is to establish and manage University-wide IT contracts to include hardware, software and services in support of the University's strategic procurement program. Performs other duties as assigned.
JOB DUTIES:

40% - Essential - Procurement:
Develop and maintain effective relationships with key University IT stakeholders and provide support for all of the IT commodities, maintenance agreements and licenses. Assist with developing strong solicitations for bidding purposes that must comply with the SC Consolidated Procurement Codes while ensuring the best value for Clemson University. Responsible for managing State Contracts and Agency Contracts.

20% - Essential - Contract Negotiation:
Evaluates and negotiates pricing, terms and conditions, software maintenance and license agreements, professional service agreements, statements of work, and maintenance and support agreements in conjunction with key suppliers, end users, and IT groups, Legal Counsel, and Export Control. Develop short and long term strategies based on costs and savings based on identified opportunities, anticipated demand and contract renewal timing.

15% - Essential - Relationship Management:
Develops and manages supplier relationships and builds effective partnerships with CCIT customers by scheduling meetings with key members to stay ahead of upcoming purchases by becoming involved in the decision making process. Builds and develops relationships Campus Wide covering CCIT, IT planning, and DSIT to ensure University is connected with Procurement.

15% - Essential - Contract and Supplier Management:
Duties will include facilitating contract execution with key suppliers and insure that contract terms, pricing, and termination dates are tracked and managed. This position will provide continuous oversight of key IT supplier relationships and develop programs.

10% - Essential - Special Projects/Reporting:
Special Projects - Executes other projects as assigned supporting the buying team. Reporting - Presents information for discussion and decision making, monitors trends and tracks purchasing activities, implements plans for reaction, identifies opportunities to add value to the procurement process or a specific procurement.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

A bachelor's degree and experience in procurement and contracts.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
No Supervisory Duties - Not responsible for supervising employees.

No Budget Responsibilities - No fiscal responsibility for the department's budget.

Prefer CPM, CPPB, CPPO

Standard Hrs: 37.5; Band: 06 ($ 54,700.00 - $ 73,935.00)
