Assistant Professor of Chemistry

Job description

Middle Georgia State University is seeking a candidate for the position of Assistant Professor of Chemistry for the School of Arts and Sciences in the Department of Natural Sciences to begin fall 2018. This position involves teaching, scholarship, and service. Teaching responsibilities may include day and/or evening, lower level and/or upper level chemistry courses. One position is available. Travel from base campus to other campuses (Macon, Warner Robins, Cochran and Dublin, Georgia) may be required at times.

Minimum Qualifications: Candidates should have a PhD in a chemistry or related area. Candidates with additional experience in inorganic chemistry and/or biology (molecular biology, biochemistry) would be preferred. Candidates must have a record of teaching and the potential for scholarships that warrants appointment at the rank of assistant professor. Candidates selected for employment will be subject to a background check.
