Lecturer - ME / MET - Multiple Positions (Mechanical Engineering)
The College of Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics seeks full time Lecturers to teach courses in its Mechanical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering Technology programs. These programs have grown dramatically in the past few years, which is driving the need to hire more faculty. Multiple positions are available and will be filled from this recruitment.
These Lecturer positions consist of one-year appointments, renewable on an annual basis depending on department need, budget availability, and successful teaching evaluations.
Positions begin September 14, 2018. Candidates hired for these positions must be available and able to start work on September 14, 2018. Annual workload will consist of 45 credits of teaching.
All faculty are expected to engage in effective teaching and assessment of student learning in these ABET accredited programs.

Conditions of Employment
Person hired for this position must be able and available to begin in the position no later than 9/14/2018.
- Masters in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field; PhD preferred
- At least four years teaching college level mechanical engineering courses
- One year of relevant industrial experience
- Candidates must demonstrate interest, experience and/or ability to apply a culturally responsive and flexible approach that is supportive to diverse needs, including universal accessibility, of our students, faculty, staff and the public.
Preference may be given to candidates with one or more of the following:
- Professional licensure
- Familiarity/experience with machining equipment
- Publication record
