Large Section Support Manager

Position Category: Staff - Full-Time

The leader envisions pedagogical changes that will impact student success in large enrollment classrooms; builds collaboration across academic departments, Office of Teaching & Learning, and Academic Support Services to actualize improvements; and supports large section faculty and instructional assistant teams in connecting with students to facilitate learning. The Large Section Support Manager monitors student success and faculty satisfaction within this course delivery model and serves as the focal point/voice to ensure the model yields improved student retention.

Required Qualifications:
Masters degree with two years teaching in higher education is required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Extensive knowledge of effective teaching methods.
Extensive knowledge of instructional design including effective formative and summative assessment strategies.
Experience in group facilitation techniques including team based learning.
Effective use of instructional technologies.
Leadership skills in creating vision and influencing change.
Administrative skills including project management and documentation.
Skills in fostering collaboration and building learning communities.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Data analysis and reporting skills.
Ability to assimilate and explain diverse data to find an effective path forward.

Ability to lead a diverse/cross-functional team.

Preferred Qualifications:
PhD preferred.
Teaching experience in large classrooms preferred.
Preferred degree in Education.

Physical Requirements:
Office environment, includes sitting, bending, standing, walking, talking, hearing, hearing and fine hand manipulation.

Pay Range: $39,889 - $53,186
