Job Description: The Department of Biology, College of Arts & Sciences, Loyola University Chicago (LUC) seeks qualified candidates for three, newly authorized positions beginning in August 2018 as Instructor of Biology. The appointments are for one year. The Department of Biology has 40 full-time faculty serving more than 1,600 majors and students from associated university programs at the Lake Shore Campus. These are non-tenure-track, full-time positions that involve teaching in our core freshmen biology sequence, including lecture and laboratory sections. There may be opportunities to teach a course in Evolution or Genetics. Teaching responsibilities shall include a 4-4 teaching load.

Qualifications: The successful candidate for this position will have a PhD and proven excellence in teaching at the college level. In addition, the incumbent must be willing to support the mission of LUC and the goals of a Jesuit Catholic Education.
