Position Summary: The Associate Director reports to the Director and is a member of the management team providing leadership and vision for University Career Services (UCS). The organization has two Associate Director positions that, based on organizational need, requires assignment to one of two functional areas: career education or industry clusters and outcomes.

Education Requirements: Master's Degree in Counseling, Higher Education Administration, Student Personnel, Human Resources or related discipline.

Qualification and Experience: Minimum of six (6) years experience in a college career services office or similar management related experience in the field of career development and employment. Specific Skills and Competencies: Knowledge of and experience with career counseling theory, techniques, and interest assessment tools; Experience delivering programs to students, parents, and employers;Knowledge of and experience with program assessment; Experience in marketing, public relations, and fund raising preferable; Demonstrated commitment to the highest ethical standards of professional practice as well as personal and professional integrity in the ability to collaborate and foster a spirit of engagement; Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment. Understanding of and commitment to diversity issues in the delivery of programs and services; Ability to utilize technology in the delivery of student programs; Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with campus leaders, faculty, staff, and students across a variety of units and divisions.
