Position Summary: The Technology Solutions & Web Architecture Lead is responsible for the design, testing, administration and performance monitoring of the University's central web and mobile platforms and services. As the lead engineer, the Technology Solutions & Web Architecture Lead guides the strategic direction of the technical architecture that runs over 18,000 campus websites and applications, including mission-critical sites for the University and most of the schools and large departments on campus. As the technical lead for the team, the Technology Solutions & Web Architecture Lead serves as an integrator between ITS teams that manage the infrastructures layers and the rest of the Digital Services service-focused team. The Technology Solutions & Web Architecture Lead is responsible for solving complex technical issues and translating the technical requirement of large-scale, enterprise customers into workable solutions on the platforms available. The person in this position manages the department's support developer.

Education Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Math, or Engineering or related technical degree from an appropriately accredited institution and two years of experience in business application consulting or development; or - Bachelor's degree with some computer coursework from an appropriately accredited institution and three years of experience in business applications consulting or development; or - Associate's degree in computer programming and three years of experience in application consulting or development; or an equivalent combination of education and experience -Journey level requires an additional one year of experience. -Advanced level requires an additional two years of experience.
Qualification and Experience: Required - Experience with PHP - Experience with Git and code repositories - WordPress experience Preferred - Versatile in analyzing data and making-data driven decisions using appropriate tools and technologies - Experience working with large multi-site/multi-network WordPress implementations - 5+ years of PHP experience - Comfortable navigating between highly technical teams and environments to those more service- and customer-oriented. - Ability to translate extremely technical concepts to non-technical audiences
