Serve as administrative assistant for one to five surgery faculty in the Division of General Surgery, Department of Surgery, at the UW School of Medicine and Public Health. This position must interface with outside physicians, paramedical personnel, administrators, researchers and scientists locally, regionally, nationally, and internationally. This position requires strong administrative, organizational, oral and written communication, computer and interpersonal skills. In addition, the ability to screen, prioritize, track and follow to completion multiple ongoing projects in various stages of progress is essential. This position represents surgeons to the public as well as to personnel and visitors locally, regionally, nationally, and internationally. This position requires proficiency understanding of medical terminology, surgical procedures, and patient management issues. This position must show confidentiality regarding all written and oral interactions and information.
Position reports to the Program Assistant Supervisor and the work is performed under general supervision.
Monday-Friday, 7:45 am-4:30 pm to meet the needs of the Department

Title and pay rate will be determined at the time of hire based on candidate qualifications and experience. The following are the minimum pay rates for each title:
Medical Program Assistant: $14.25
Medical Program Assistant Associate: $15.42
Medical Program Assistant Senior: $16.67
