Minimum $30,207 ANNUAL (12 months)

Degree and Area of Specialization:

Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Biology, Genetics, Biochemistry or related field required. Candidates with advanced degrees will also be considered.



Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:

Minimum 1 year experience in a research lab, preferably with a strong background in molecular/cellular biology and/or biochemistry is required. Prior experience with Drosophila genetics is highly desirable but not necessary.



License or certificate:



Position Summary:

Seeking applicants to join a lab studying the genetic basis of insulin secretion. The successful applicants will have critical research and management responsibilities in the lab. These include performing experiments at the bench, interpreting and reporting experimental results, supervising undergraduate researchers, and ordering and maintaining lab supplies. The ideal candidate is a highly-motivated, team-work oriented person with excellent technical, organizational and interpersonal skills.
