Financial Analyst

This position is only available to current UCI employees.

This position reports to the Humanities Commons Executive Director and is responsible for providing a wide variety of financial and operational analyses that support the many activities of the Humanities Commons. Responsibilities include day-to-day control of financial transactions for accounts and programs within the Humanities Commons. These efforts include monitoring and analyzing the departmental budget, facilitating transaction workflow, and preparing and review monthly financial reports. In consultation with the Executive Director, provide oversight of the Humanities Commons operating budget and individual program budgets. Funding sources include general state and federal funds; foundation, endowment and gift funds; and private contracts and grants. Position entails policy analysis and interpretation, problem-solving requiring interaction with administrators, faculty, staff, vendors, and visitors. Position is responsible for preliminary budget preparation for contracts and grants proposals in consultation with the Executive Director and provides backup support for proposal preparation. The incumbent is also responsible for managing internal Humanities Commons grant programs for faculty and graduate students, including producing application and review materials, award notifications and grant disbursement reports.

Salary: Hourly $23.58 - $27.82
Total Hours: 8:30 am - 5:30 pm, M-F
