Position Summary:

The Perinatal Unit Service Coordinator III obtains and provides birth certificate and paternity acknowledgement information to Department of Health. Documents birth information in all applicable data system, maintains patient records, and act as a liaison between physician, nursing, families, clinics, and government agencies. Assists with scheduling clinic follow up appointments. Performs other duties as needed and assigned to support the functions of the nursing unit including routine patient care responsibilities.

Salary Range:

Rate Minimum $19.93 Midpoint $22.35 Maximum $24.77

Required Qualifications:

Ability to effectively communicate in a clear and concise manner

Basic Life Support

Bilingual Spanish skills to communicate effectively with patients and families

Minimum three years prior administrative office experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Demonstrated experience working in a healthcare environment

Understanding of medical terminology and Universal Precautions
