Position Summary:

The incumbent is responsible for implementing the network development plan of the UC Irvine Health Primary Care Network and for overseeing the day to day management of the affiliation between UCI Medical Center (UCIMC) and Memorial Care Health System (MHS), including both medical group and IPA functions. Incumbent is responsible for developing the UCIMC Division within MCMF in support of creating a cost-effective primary care network for the purposes of providing population health management to the people of Orange County. Serves as a key liaison between MCMF and the physicians of the University Division and works collaboratively with MCMF operations staff in the successful implementation of all aspects of clinical operations and related policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications:

Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload

Bachelor‘s degree in health care or business degree

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Highly developed and thoughtful, analytical skills; ability to function at a high level in a fast-paced environment

Knowledge of current trends and best practices in customer experience and service excellence relevant to services provided by hospitals, medical staffs, and integrated healthcare systems.

Minimum of 7 years' healthcare experience with 4 years in a supervisory capacity or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job

Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties

Strong working knowledge of theories and principles of facilitation/process improvement tools and techniques

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in Lean Six Sigma as an improvement methodology

MSN or Master's degree in healthcare or business

Medical group / IPA experience

Prior experience in a leadership role and five (5) years' experience in a change agent role within a large, complex, multi-site private or public sector organization preferred.
