Visiting Assistant Professor of Biochemistry

The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Texas Wesleyan University invites applications for a visiting position in Chemistry at the rank of Assistant Professor to begin August 2018. This position can be extended for up to three years at the discretion of the Department and Dean of the School of Natural and Social Sciences.

Primary teaching responsibilities include biochemistry as well as opportunities for teaching introductory chemistry and physical/environmental science (for non-majors). Other responsibilities include advising students, supervising student interns, and service to the University community.

Position requirements include a Ph.D. in Chemistry or an equivalent field with an emphasis in the areas of Biochemistry. Preference will be given to candidates who have college-level teaching experience and/or experience utilizing active learning techniques.
