Limited Term Assistant or Associate Professor Job Description:
The Department of History at the University of West Georgia invites applications for a one-year appointment in public history beginning August 1, 2018 at either the Assistant or Associate Professor rank.
Nature of Work:
Responsibilities include; teaching graduate and undergraduate public history courses and U.S. History surveys, administering public history projects and supervising students at the Center for Public History, assisting with graduate thesis projects, and working with community and public agencies.
Master's degree in History, American Studies, or related field with public history experience required; PhD or ABD preferred. Experience in digital history or new media highly desirable.
The department will begin reviewing applications on June 1, 2018, and will continue until the position is filled.
