The Student Services Representative is an advocate for all students. This person serves as the main point of contact for continuing and prospective students. The purpose of the position is to provide excellent service, and accurate (proactive) information to our students in all areas of the University and University life. This person is also the persistence advocate, assisting students to resolve challenges that might keep them from attending school.
Communicate, clarify and explain NLU policy and procedure to students. Assist students in navigating through processes and interpreting policies. Develop inventory of communication to students, and send that information at appropriate times in the term, and throughout course of study. Materials should be proactive, descriptive, and accurate. Update as necessary. Assist students in resolving challenges in any process areas. Ensure accuracy and completeness of any enrollment, scheduling, registration, continuing student materials. Verify accuracy of information in Banner; enter accurate information as necessary.Assist in local research projects, with local events and in local community building activities. This includes quarterly presentations to new groups of students in person or via zoom. Local collections, FA follow up.
Bachelors Degree required. 1-3 years of relevant experience required.
