Professional Research Assistant
The Department of Neurology has an opening for a part time Professional Research Clinical Care Coordinator to coordinate monthly clinics and outreach programs for the HD Center of Excellence. The position is located at the Anschutz Medical Campus. Hours are usually 8:00 to 5:00 on Mondays and Thursdays, but occasionally longer hours and/or alternate days are required, depending on patient volume, schedules and symposia. This position is not full-time and is only 0.4FTE
One of the duties this position will work involves coordinating a research project tracking patient symptoms, quality of life, and caregiver burden. It also investigates areas where we can improve patient experience and quality of care. Other duties include coordinating monthly HD clinics, planning and coordinating large meetings and conferences, facilitating community and peer-education outreach programs, assisting in writing grants and funding proposals, assisting movement disorder fellows in recruitment and coordinating research projects, and coordinating and scheduling in-home telemedicine visits.

Position requires bachelor's and a minimum of 2 years' experience in a clinical/healthcare setting or office administration. Applicants must have outstanding interpersonal skills, great attention to detail, work with colleagues and patients in a confidential and professional manner, experience with web-based tracking systems and Microsoft Office programs (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access), excellent organizational skills, and must be able to work well within a larger team.
Background in biological science or research. Experience with completing documentations and performing tasks routinely used in clinical trials. Experience coordinating large meetings, events and/or conferences. Experience building and using RedCap databases. Experience in office administration.
