Perform variety of custodial cleaning services, in a team setting, to the Administrative and Academic buildings in support of University facilities. Clean and maintain floor surfaces and periodically strip floors of finish using powered scrubbing and burnishing machines. Remove trash and recycled items. Maintain outside entrances and wash windows. Maintain safe and clean living, learning and work environment. May respond to after-hours emergency calls. May operate University vehicle. Actively engage in learning and practicing principles of social justice and inclusion, and environmental sustainability. Demonstrate ongoing commitment to workplace diversity, sustainability and delivering exceptional value and great experience to customers. Under the direct supervision of the Custodial Supervisor, support the department's mission, "providing the University with a clean, safe, and healthy environment in which to live, learn and work."
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
Elementary school education required. Valid driver's license or ability to obtain one and driver's check may be required. Lifting of up to 62.5 lbs. and pushing/pulling up to 70 lbs. occasionally required, specific physical requirements may apply based on specific job functions. Initial employment contingent upon successful completion of physical screening and background check.
