Information Technology Services
Serves as the first point of contact relating to the distribution and support of information technology resources, providing problem solving and debugging along with delivering user support. Responsible for troubleshooting and mitigating complex problems related to computer hardware and computer software applications. Assists employees with hardware/software installations, training, security and data integrity and problem resolution.
Provides IT consulting and project management. Oversees IT upgrades, defines project scope with senior management, organizes resources to implement project plan, communicates effectively with staff, provide documentation and training if necessary upon project completion. Consolidates services and utilizes centrally funded/managed IT services, systems and personnel. Must be knowledgeable in a broad, constantly evolving assortment of IT policies, procedures, and technologies. Evaluates available and emerging technologies and makes recommendations regarding suitability for implementation in the technology environment.
Assists with properly tracking inventory. Monitors supplies and equipment. Sanitizes decommissioned computer equipment for transfer to surplus Responsible for lifecycle replacement and for the management of IT resources to include budgeting/spending for related expenditures, managing space utilization in HR, and managing technical infrastructure of the HR offices. Responsible for documentation of tasks and procedures related areas of responsibility.
Develops and maintains partnerships with ITS and throughout the University in order to attain and support departmental IT needs. Assists with HR communications and coordination of HR functions and events as needed.
Supports all media equipment and services and is responsible for the continual operation and maintenance of all the media equipment in the facilities including projectors, televisions, cameras and digital displays.
Performs duties in compliance with ITS policies, guidelines, and processes
pertaining to support requests, work orders, project management, change
management, and incident management. Appropriately utilizes associated tools in accordance with ITS standards.
Bachelor's degree; or a high school diploma/equivalency and four years of experience related to the duties of this position.
(Note: or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to four years.)
The ideal candidate will know how to test and troubleshoot Windows 10 PC's and Office products.
Must be a self-starter and motivated to learn, research and troubleshoot issues with computer systems, peripherals, and mobile devices.
Knowledge and experience demonstrating effective customer service skills and communicating effectively verbally and in writing.
Experience making purchasing decisions based on independent research and judgment.
Knowledge and experience with applicable computer software and operating systems.
Experience with practices, concepts, and procedures for computer support.
Experience performing assigned responsibilities with minimal to moderate supervision.
Knowledge of information technology security measures.
Knowledge of the processes involved with inventory management and control.
Knowledge of computer operations, functions, and related peripherals.
Experience utilizing problem solving skills, and utilizing technical skills.
Experience establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.
Experience adhering to ethical business practices and promoting ethical behavior.
CompTia A+ certification or equivalent
Ability to Document existing and new processes
Experience with Windows 10
Experience with Office 2016/Office 365
Experience imaging and managing Windows devices
Anticipated Salary Range
Negotiable based upon experience.
This is an A&P (Administrative and Professional) position.
Monday through Friday, 7:30AM-4:30PM
