The Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science is seeking an Engineer to service on the RV Walton Smith. The Engineer is in charge of operations, maintenance and/or repair of vessel machinery, support systems and structural integrity while in port and at sea. The engineer Insures all engineering systems aboard the F.G. Walton Smith are operational; maintains and repairs essential mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, plumbing systems and structural integrity of the vessel and Oversees related work of such systems while vessel is in the shipyard or in port.
• Must have a high school diploma.
• Must possess a USCG Engineer merchant’s mariner license, STCW certificate, TWIC and US passport.
• Must be a certified OSHA forklift driver.
• Candidate must also possess a valid driver's license.
