Reporting to the Development Manager, the Senior Developer is responsible for development activity including coordination with other team members and development of complex technical designs and applications features. The Senior Developer gathers business requirements, creates mockups, then designs and develops enhancements and features for PeopleSoft products using PeopleTools, PeopleCode, and PL/SQL. The Senior Developer is a key technical resource for other development staff, providing technical advice, review, training and support for various projects.
The Senior Developer must demonstrate and apply a variety of advanced technical and analytical skills. As new technologies emerge, the Senior Developer is expected to quickly learn these technologies, resolve any problems involved in integrating the technologies with the university's systems, define appropriate development standards associated with the technology and train other development staff of its use. The Senior Developer also assists functional staff in evaluating and implementing PeopleSoft features and configurations.
May supervise student staff.

Compensation and Benefits:
Decisions about starting salaries are made based on the extent and relatedness of the candidate's education and experience and on internal equity and market considerations.
This position is exempt from the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act.
