About the College/Department
The Academic Scholarship Office is the primary administrator of university-wide merit-based scholarships and is a resource for prospective and current undergraduate students seeking scholarship funding. We also serve as a clearinghouse for scholarships awarded by academic departments and outside agencies. Our goal is to support the university's mission of recruiting and retaining high-achieving students who enrich and diversify the academic environment of the University of Arkansas.

Summary of Job Duties
The Program Coordinator is the primary manager of the Outside Scholarship and Non-Resident Tuition award programs. This includes processing financial and academic data on behalf of students and families as well as counseling and notifying them regarding their renewal and continued eligibility for these programs. The Program Coordinator will make presentations regarding scholarship programs. The Program Coordinator supports other scholarship projects not necessarily managed by them and assists with projects within the financial aid and scholarship office.
Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job function of this job, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others. Occasional evening or weekend assignments.

- The formal education equivalent of a bachelor's degree with a major in sociology, public administration, or related field
- At least two years of experience in program administration or related area
