Occupational Summary:
Support the mission and operations of the DCRI by supervising Billing Analysts, invoicing Sponsors and processing trial payments for clinical trials and through processing sub-contractor and third party payments.

Core Job Responsibilities:

• As a working manager, the Manager, Accounts Receivable will have the same responsibilities as a Staff Specialist Level 9 - DCRI Title of Billing Analyst (see attached job description for the Billing Analyst).
• Additional responsibilities involve processing sub-contractor and third party payments including setting up purchase orders as needed
• Supervise Billing Analysts and Financial Management Analyst I(s) under his/her direction
• Ensure that each Billing Analyst and Financial Management Analyst I is meeting his/her responsibilities and expectations
• Perform ad hoc analysis Supervisory Responsibilities: The AR Manager is responsible for guiding and supporting the professional development of their staff by providing coaching and feedback. His/her staff should be encouraged to utilize appropriate offering learning opportunities based on professional development needs and goals. Expectations of the AR Manager include but are not limited to: Communication
• Create a climate of openness and sharing of information Delegation
• Determine how to match the delegated task with the appropriate staff member
• Communicate, set goals, and getout of the way
• Monitor without micromanaging Employee performance
• Determine the developmental needs of your staff
• Utilize the annual DCRI PEP process
• Provide regular constructive (positive and negative) feedback throughout the year Coaching
• Communicate effectively with staff members
• Communicate expectations to encourage high performance
• Match coaching styles to the staff member and the situation The AR Manager should utilize training opportunities and mentoring to develop supervisory skills as needed.

Education

Work requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related field. CPA is desirable.

Experience
