Posting Summary:
The Office of Procurement and Supplier Diversity Services is seeking a Travel and Expense Analyst to support the University's Travel and Expense program through the creation of custom reports, analysis of trends and service levels, the development of strategies to improve the user experience and policy compliance. The incumbent is responsible for identifying ways to improve the accurate and timely processing of expense transactions by working closely with leadership, stakeholders, Accounts Payable and Expense teams to identify opportunities for improvement in support of Procurement and Supplier Diversity Services' strategic plan. Additionally, the Travel and Expense Analyst reviews, manages, and audits travel and expense vendor performance.

This position is a one year term limited position that carries full benefits.

A Bachelor's Degree and demonstrated experience in quality assurance is required. Experience with Microsoft Outlook and Office is required. Experience with e-commerce solutions (i.e. Jaggaer, Ariba, Chrome River, Oracle, Workday) is preferred.

Candidates are required to possess a basic understanding of the University of Virginia, its policies, and its operating procedures. Candidates must also posses knowledge of business systems analysis, current technological developments/trends in area of expertise, relevant multi-user computer systems, applications, and/or equipment; and computer flow charts and programming logic. Candidates are required to have the ability to investigate and analyze information and draw conclusions and have the ability to address moderately complex problems and use experience and judgment in selecting among authorized procedures. Lastly, candidates are required to possess good verbal and written communication skills to convey technical guidance and information to users and to provide excellent customer service.
