Posting Summary:
UVa's School of Continuing and Professional Studies (SCPS) Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies program seeks applicants to fill non-tenure track, part-time instructor positions in Alexandria, Loudoun, and Virginia Beach beginning Spring, 2018. Subject area needs include, but are not limited to: Economics, Sociology, Film, Writing, Religion, Philosophy, Psychology, Constitutional Law, Business, and History.
Qualifications: A terminal degree is required, as is a minimum of 2 years teaching experience. Experience teaching adult learners is required and online teaching experience, or a willingness to learn online instruction, is desirable.
The University will perform background checks on all new hires prior to making a final offer of employment.
Note: This is an at-will faculty wage position which does not carry benefits. All hires are made as part-time appointments.
