Position Summary:

Incumbent is responsible for sharp-object injuries and blood and body fluid exposures data reporting and analysis utilizing the Exposure Prevention Information Network (EPINet). Identifies patterns and trends; researches and analyzes relevant data, recommends corrective actions and monitors the results of corrective actions. Manages data analysis projects, creates and maintains department dashboard and provides general administrative support as needed. Evaluates current system and process and implement changes as needed with the leadership approval.

Salary Range:

Rate Minimum $22.70 Midpoint $30.05 Maximum $37.40

Required Qualifications:

Ability to comprehend & utilize computer systems to retrieve & enter data.

Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload

Ability to work independently and take initiative to identify priorities and manage workload accordingly

Bachelor's degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Demonstrated experience and thorough working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and database applications

Excellent PC skills to design and maintain custom databases, produce reports, and capture and manipulate data

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality; knowledge of HIPAA and PHI requirements

Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job

Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties

Three to five years of experience in healthcare or related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms

Knowledge of the EPinet Program (Exposure Prevention Information Network)
