Summary of Duties:
The College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences (CPPS) communications office is an energetic and highly fast-paced environment. This position provides communication support that impacts student recruitment, development, alumni relations, and administrative functions of the college. The Communications Systems Coordinator builds and delivers WSU branded messages to both internal and external audiences to advance the college mission and vision.

Responsibilities include coordinating the day-to-day maintenance of the college website and other communication systems, supporting integrated communication campaigns that promote college events and initiatives, assisting departments with communication needs, and assisting with other communications projects as assigned. This position requires specialized knowledge in communications technology including WordPress, Adobe Creative Suite, Qualtrics, Vertical Response, and the Radius content management system. The individual uses independent judgement and technical expertise to monitor and maintain these systems to ensure the continuation of high quality communications, directly impacting student, faculty and staff recruitment and retention; alumni and donor relations; and fundraising efforts.

Required Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree in English, communications, journalism, humanities, public relations, or related field; or four years of writing/editing/public relations experience; OR equivalent education/experience.
