Necessary Qualifications:
  • An earned Master's degree in Mathematics from a regionally accredited institution.
  • A minimum of 18 graduate hours in mathematics.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Doctoral degree in Mathematics from a regionally accredited institution.
  • 18 graduate hours in applied mathematics preferred.
  • Experience in culturally diverse settings.
  • College or University mathematics teaching experience,.
  • Familiarity with non-traditional, commuter university setting.
  • Experience teaching distance education and online classes.

Prior to issuing a letter of appointment, official transcripts must be received directly from each degree-granting institution by the Dean of College of Arts and Sciences, TAMU-SA, One University Way, San Antonio, TX 78224. Transcripts issued directly to the candidate will not be accepted. If transcripts are from an international institution, it is the responsibility of the prospective faculty member to have the transcripts translated and evaluated by an approved credential evaluator.
