Essential Job Duties: The primary purpose of this position is to provide administrative support to the Director and Assistant Director of The Science House and manage all departmental HR Services and financial activities. Key tasks and responsibilities include preparing various records and reports and facilitating processes congruent with university, state or federal policies/procedures/regulatory compliance to meet the personnel and business needs of the department. This includes, but is not limited to Science House related financial management and Human Resources services. This position will be responsible for pro-actively monitoring account balances and workflow; ensuring expenses and revenue are coded to the appropriate project and account and spent in accordance with funding guidelines; identifying, researching and correcting errors. It is expected that this position will work independently to resolve issues and will communicate with Science House Director and Assistant Director when problems are identified and provide solutions to these problems. The position will maintain a comprehensive and accurate spreadsheet of all revenue and expenses posted to Science House accounts, phases, commitments, and special allocations, and will track College/University commitments to ensure all funding is received. This position must be able to analyze financial data and provide reports and projections to the Science House Director and Assistant Director. This position is also responsible for executing the Human Resources activities for the Science House following Federal, State, University, and College policies, procedures, and rules. The position must have a proven ability to independently manage multiple tasks and HR functions with competing deadlines and priorities. This includes serving as the primary point of contact for departmental human resources; serving as a collaborator with the College Human Resources Office and interpreting human resource policies and procedures as well as advising employees. HR functions typically performed in this position may include, but are not limited to: PeopleAdmin entries, processing hire and separation documentation, drafting offer letters, KABA and WolfTime timekeeper, leave administrator, organizational chart maintenance, HR reporting, search committee assistance, and generating HR reports as requested. Advise employees and department administration on HR policies and procedures.

Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education: Minimum of 2-4 years of Financial Experience AND Minimum of 1-3 year HR Experience
