Job description

Duties: We seek a highly motivated and responsible research technician to help propel on-going studies examining resistance mechanisms to immune checkpoint inhibitors and/or radiation therapy for metastatic cancer. Project tasks will include assessing the anti-tumor response in pre-clinical mouse models of melanoma and pancreatic cancer to different immunotherapies and radiation therapy based on tumor growth and survival. We then identify factors mediating the response that are both tumor-intrinsic and immune using flow cytometry and genome-wide profiling. Investigation into disease-relevancy will be approached through clinical correlation using biospecimens from companion clinical trials. The candidate will design his/her own experiments as well as analyze data including flow cytometry and RNAseq.

Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree and 1 year to 3 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required. The successful candidate will have at least one year prior experience in a molecular biology laboratory and completed general coursework in biology. The successful candidate will also be exceptionally motivated, dedicated, and work effectively individually and as part of a team.
