Duties: The Department of Family Medicine and Community Health is seeking a highly-motivated Data Coordinator to perform data entry, data management, statistical analysis, and research coordination of a strong program, primarily focused on health disparities research that includes a HRSA-Center for Primary Care Training and Enhancement, NIH-funded projects on lung and colorectal cancer screening, and other studies focused on accelerating health care transformation. The position will manage and clean datasets, perform chart abstractions, and conduct statistical analyses in collaboration with the Principal Investigators, statisticians, and study teams. The Data Coordinator will assist with major research grant applications, prepare tables, graphs and descriptive summaries of data for presentations, progress reports, grant applications and manuscripts. Strong problem-solving skills and evidence of training/experience in basic biostatistics and epidemiology as well as familiarity with health systems data are desired but not required.
Qualifications: The minimum of a Bachelor's degree and 1 to 2 years of experience in health services research and data management or an equivalent combination of education and experience required; Excellent organizational, verbal, written and interpersonal skills; Familiarity with the use of word processing, spreadsheets, database and web-based applications; Experience creating and modifying relational databases and proficiency with SAS and R is desirable. Experience with chart abstraction and patient registries a plus. High level of attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to accuracy is required.
