Duties: The Civic Engagement Coordinator (CEC) will help to create a clear, more focused implementation of the Division of Recreation and Intercollegiate Athletics (DRIA) 'community matters' core value. The CEC will be responsible for raising the awareness of and managing the various civic engagement programs and opportunities within DRIA. This position will oversee and further strengthen existing relationships with campus partners (Netter Center, Civic House, etc) and look to create new opportunities in the local community. In addition, he/she will educate student-athletes and teams about those opportunities as well as the benefits to participation and assist in pairing them with a program that best meets their interests. Finally, the CEC will coordinate communications regarding civic engagement efforts and manage the recognition program for those students who have shown a commitment to civic engagement throughout the year.

Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree and 0 to 1 year of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Experience in community
education & organizing is preferred. Excellent written, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in word, excel, Power Point and experience with database programs.
