Job description

Duties: A Research Assistant (RA) is needed to support Dr. Mathias Basner's projects funded by NASA and FAA. The RA is responsible for preparing IRB protocol applications, organizing project teleconferences, extracting data from off-site projects, data quality control and statistical analysis. The RA will also be the lead for scheduling and contacting study subjects, surveying and screening potential subjects, and administering study questionnaires. Depending on the FAA study schedule, the RA may also need to test and configure study equipment, ship equipment to subjects, and visit field sites. This is a 40-hour position, but it may occasionally be necessary to work early morning or evening shifts to contact subjects.

Qualifications: A High School diploma and 3 years to 5 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required. College coursework or degree a plus. Experience with research data collection, analysis, and human subjects trial design is preferred. Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Able to prioritize and meet deadlines. Detail oriented, good communicating verbally and in writing. Able to work independently and as part of a team. Computer skills including Excel and statistical analysis software preferred.
