Position Summary: This is a professional licensed physical therapy position that provides direct physical therapy care to eligible patients of the University Health Center. The Physical Therapist works closely with physical therapy staff, patients and their families. Interacts with other department and clinic managers, nursing staff, clinician staff, clinic lead physicians, and administrative staff as well. This position reports directly to and is supervised by the Manager of Physical Therapy.
Responsibilities: Clinical Physical Therapy: Practices safe, effective, and appropriate physical therapy care in accordance with UHC protocols and policies and the Georgia State Board of Physical Therapy regulations.
Qualifications: Graduation from a School of Physical Therapy accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association AND practical physical therapy experience with a preference in orthopedics and sports medicine. Employees in the classification must be registered as a Physical Therapist in the State of Georgia.
