Research Engineer II
Position Summary: Conduct research experiments, and coordinate and participate in extension and outreach trainings, workshops, field days, on farm research and visits, and similar activities related to precision Agriculture and machinery systems. Duties include maintenance and operation of laboratory and field equipment, field preparation, planting and general agronomic production operations. Equipment calibration, data collection and analysis, report compilation and writing of extension and research documents, and assistance in developing grant proposals are also required. The University of Georgia, a land- and sea-grant institution, is located in Athens, Georgia, 1 1/2 hours northeast of Atlanta, Georgia and close to the North Georgia mountains. The Tifton campus, where work will take place, is located about 2 hours and 45 minutes southeast of Atlanta. Applications must be received by 7/1/2018.
