APPLICATION ANALYST ASSOC
Position Summary: The Web and Mobile Technology group within the Enterprise Information Technology Services division at UGA is looking for an application analyst with experience in scripted or object oriented programming languages as well as integrating system data between applications. This position will be responsible for helping with the development of mobile-enabled student success and advisement management applications, as well as enhancement and maintenance of the applications that support the MyUGA Portal, the UGA Student Mobile App, and other managed services. The primary role of this position is to write, test, and document code to develop and maintain these systems, and to contribute to ongoing efforts to improve usability, stability, and security. This position will work with and under the direction of a senior Application Analyst, and will also work with systems administrators, database administrators, and network administrators to ensure quality performance and reliability of supported applications. This position will also have a role in the coordination, mentoring, and training of graduate assistants and student workers assigned to the Portal Team.
Responsibilities: Design, code, and test program components as needed to maintain and improve supported systems: 1. Develop application structure, information flows, business logic, and application code for the Go4UGA project. 2. Develop code as needed to improve usability and feature set of UGA Student Mobile Apps for the purpose of integrating Go4UGA functionality 3. Assist other full-time developers, graduate assistants, and student workers in acquiring knowledge and skills needed to develop and test supported systems.
