Clinical Specialist


The Clinical Specialist will be responsible for clinical instruction to UCI pre-licensure nursing students during their practicum rotation. The Clinical Specialist will be assigned a group of nursing students in an affiliated community hospital. The Clinical Specialist will assist with formative and summative assessment and simulated activities related to the pre-licensure nursing program. Rotations are assigned each quarter (Fall, Winter, Spring, Summer).

Salary: $8,358.00 - $11,284.00 monthly
Total Hours: Part Time
14 Limited Appt Positions, 35%-40%
Although this position's schedule is Part Time, non-traditional work hours may be required. In the case of extended hours due to student issues, this position may be required to work those hours.
Employment in this position is contingent upon successful completion of a Department of Justice (DOJ) Live Scan background check, verification and continued monitoring of licensure as it applies to the position, and successful completion of our background review or credentialing process, as appropriate to the position.
The employee must comply with OSHA, CA/OSHA, and CDC recommendations and requirements regarding vaccination and testing of healthcare employees. This includes, but may not be limited to; current hepatitis B immunizations, annual flu vaccinations, and annual tuberculosis screening. At the discretion of School of Nursing, the employee may be offered an option to sign a declination acknowledgement in lieu of receiving an annual flu vaccination.
Per the UC Ethics Briefing, the employee is responsible for reporting any and all potential conflicts of interest to their supervisor in a timely manner.
Final candidate subject to background check.
