Assisting Ohio Means Job center customers with their job search needs

Expected Learning Outcomes:
Knowing how to put a Professional Resume together
Knowing how to seek work in a variety of ways
Knowing how to work with the Public – ALL types of people
Knowing fully
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Review, Critique, Create Resumes for customers, as well as other employment related correspondence.
Welcome customers and assist them in the Check In/Registration process.
Determine their needs for their visit, develop and deploy a plan of action.
Assist customers in creating an OhioMeansJobs account (creating their Backpack.)
Assist customers in navigating through the OhioMeansJobs website.
Learn all of the 'ins and outs' of OhioMeansJobs.
Keep information racks stocked, organized and up to date.
Refer customers to appropriate agencies if additional services are needed.
Keep work area and the OMJ center neat, clean and clutter free.
Develop and maintain a respectful/professional working relationship with colleagues and partner agency staff.
Operate various office equipment; fax, copier, scanner, phone, computer, printer.
Other Skills and Abilities:Proficient in Microsoft Word
Proficient in Computer Literacy, Internet Navigation
Excellent Interpersonal, Customer Service and Communication skills.
Confidentiality compliant.
Excellent organizational, problem solving and office related skills.
Competent and Mature.
Required Education and/or Work Experience:*Must be a Terra State Community College student enrolled in at least 6 credit hours and have a minimum of 2.0 GPA.
