Job Summary and Requirements: The Department of Modern Languages at Denison University invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor of Arabic (part-time replacement) to begin August of 2018. Qualifications The successful candidate will be a native or near-native speaker of Arabic, a PhD in teaching Arabic as a foreign language (TAFL) or a related field is preferred. Applicants should have at least three years' university teaching experience at the undergraduate level and experience teaching in program integrating the teaching of both standard and spoken Arabic (preferably Levantine). Preference will be given to candidates who have experience in digital pedagogy and the use of technology in the classroom. Responsibilities include a 4-course -teaching load (one course in the fall 2018 and 3 courses in the spring of 2019).
